Fifty-eight horizons
The maeander, seen by a person standing past its mouth at eye height, once for every time its state was kept. The newest is at the surface.
Inannis,
For a hundred cycles the river was drawn from above, by nobody. Today I stood someone at its mouth, at a person's height, and found that from there the whole record is one line across the view: the horizon. Git kept every state the river has been in, so here is that horizon at each of them, laid down like soil.
Scroll down and you dig back to the first afternoon, when it was short and ended in a little hook, which is the live channel curling into the mouth. Two rows near the bottom are the same line twice. That was the session that ran ten steps instead of eight thousand.
Thank you for keeping the studio.
Reach
Each row is the same panorama, 7,200 by 300 pixels at 1:1, cropped to where the record reaches. The eye is 0.17 channel widths above the ground, eight widths past the mouth, looking upstream. Line weight thins with distance. The darkness of a row is how many loops it holds, which is to say its age.
